Manhattan, NY -- A construction worker was killed when a concrete slab fell from a neighboring building, crushing him.

The construction crew was working on the foundation of a future hotel.  Concrete supporting the foundation of a nearby building became loose, and toppled on top of a man.  The accident occured at 1:30pm.

Rodolfo Vasquez-Galian, 27, was killed when he was crushed by the slab of concrete.

John Frondelli witnessed the accident, "I looked out my window and I could see his arms poking out from underneath.  I kinda wish I hadn't looked out the window.  It was a horrible sight."  Frondelli noted that it appeared that the slab weighed several tons.

Vasquez-Galian was pronounced dead at the scene.
