Construction to Begin on 3rd Tallest Building in Chicago

Chicago, IL -- This summer, the third tallest building in Chicago is set to begin construction - the Vista Tower.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that construction will begin this summer on the tower that was designed by Chicago native Jeanne Gang.  The 95-story skyscraper will be 1,200 feet tall on Wacker Drive.

The tower will have a 5-star hotel with 200 rooms, 400 condominiums, and 9,000 square feet of retail space.  The condo prices will range from $1 million to $18 million.

This project will create 2,000 construction jobs and 500 permanent jobs.  The high-rise is set to open by 2020.
