Los Angeles, CA -- Seven construction workers were injured while pouring concrete at a downtown Los Angeles construction site.
The initial investigation suggests that workers were pouring concrete. The floor collapsed, which caused the construction workers to "ride" the floor from the second to the first floor.
Seven people were injured, and five of the seven were transferred to the hospital.
"It wasn't as much of a rescue effort as much as it was patient care in this case because there were no persons actually trapped underneath the concrete. Everybody was on top of the concrete or out of the way," said Chief David Perez.
The accident site was the site of a residential structure under construction.
